PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide assistance to the VP of Residential Services in completing the daily tasks needed to ensure the overall quality of services, consistency, and standardization of all programs are continued and maintained for all community living departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a field related to agency services.
Five years of experience in Human Services, two in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities in a management position.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in leading and supervision.
Strong critical thinking and ability to work at a fast speed when necessary.
Valid Drivers License required, with a minimum of 1 year driving experience.
Regular and predictable attendance required.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Train, supervise, mentor and support Senior Residential Program Directors (ABI & I/DD) Supervise and evaluate the performance of the entire Residential Management team. Facilitate and coordinate ongoing development trainings for the Residential team. Assure regulatory compliance, assist with program budgeting, and maintain programs within resource limits.
Assist in supporting the SL, AFC & ISS departments as a Mentor & Support to each program There are no supervisory responsibilities towards these departments, but expected responsibilities will include, attending meetings regularly and assisting individual department Directors with any support they may need. Mentoring SL, AFC & ISS departments through any issues related to the Union, DDS, and or family or individual support needs.
Create and maintain professional and effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders Explore relationships in the community with other Providers, Hospitals, Schools, and Healthcare organizations in effort to develop new partnerships and initiatives , resulting in agency growth
Implement and enforce strategic goals to be maintained and to have successful outcomes
Fiscal Responsibilities-Program budget management (Assist in the oversight of spending, monitor audit reports regularly and ongoing, from the Senior Program Director level) Authorized to sign on behalf of the VP of Residential Services as an approved signer for any expenses under $5,000, that occur within the Residential department.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED T0:
Oversee all aspects of service delivery in the FHCRC Residential Services.
Oversee any planning of special projects from start to finish, in collaboration with appropriate personnel.
Attend off-site meetings with DDS and other(s) regularly
Recruit and screen candidates for Senior Program Directors. Make final hiring decisions in collaboration with others, as appropriate.
Participate in regular meetings of Programs, Departments, and Administrative staff.
Meet regularly with the Nursing and Clinical department to discuss program related issues; meet with other consultants as an as needed basis.
Monitor compliance of FHCRC residential programs with agency policies and procedures as well as with applicable regulations and contracting agencies
Work closely with VP of Residential Services on any new initiatives and in identifying any new revenue sources
Participate and coordinate with staff on contracting agencies in client referral, placement and transfer.
Conduct investigations of reportable incidents and complaints related to programs under his/her supervision.
Perform other duties as agreed upon with the VP of Residential Services.
