Job Description

Oversee the R&D Analytics and Data Sciences (ADS) IT organization and business relationships, with the Data Management, Biostatistics, Epidemiology and SAS programing teams. Serve as the IT strategic partner and primary liaison for the ADS Business Process Management organization. Manage all ADS IT related projects across various business units. Work closely with the IT teams to support Biogen R&D in advancing Biogen’s mission. Accountable for keeping Biogen's ADS IT solutions compliant with regulatory and GxP standards in the regions/countries.

  • Work with ADS and IT leadership to develop a multi-year strategy to support ADS
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects with a focus on driving value for R&D
  • Lead a team supporting the solutions leveraged by ADS striving to improve stability, reliability and user experience
  • Support the growth and development of a diverse team of IT professionals

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the Biopharma industry landscape of vendors and technology
  • Minimum of 7-10 years working in the biopharmaceutical R&D in a leadership role
  • Experience overseeing IT Development services and systems
  • Experience developing and leading high performing teams and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels within mixed organization
  • Direct experience working with outsourced/managed service providers
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels.
  • Bachelors Degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with the following solutions
    • Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems
    • Data Management software(s) like illuminate
    • Familiarity with Veeva Clinical Suite and/or RBSM is good to have
    • Familiarity with SAS GRID or R Shiny or AWS Cloud stack is a good to have
