Job Description

This position will be responsible for providing critical support in implementing key planning and analysis tools to aid business decision-making. This job works closely with the Senior Management team and is responsible for preparing and analyzing relevant financial and industry data, and in preparing business presentations to the Board of Directors, management team and other stakeholders. This position will be a key role in establishing a clear vision for the FP&A function with the aim of providing timely and value added financial support to all business leaders and functions.

The Director, FP&A will drive continuous process improvement in operational planning, forecasting and financial analysis across the company, including annual budgeting process, Long Range Plan (LRP), quarterly forecasts and current cash forecasting updates and will develop and prepare superior financial reporting, including use of dashboards, to chart performance and for use in various business reviews, including periodic operating reviews. The position reports to the CFO.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the execution of the budget process including: developing, communicating and driving the budget timeline, creating budget templates, creating/maintaining budget roll-up files, preparing budget deliverables
  • Works very closely with all functions to develop long range plans and budgets, with a focus on understanding activities and cost drivers.
  • Support the CFO in the preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors, Investors and Senior Management
  • Prepare and analysis quarterly and Monthly Financial reports compared to budget
  • Provide business owners and senior leaders with financial analysis to drive decision making by developing an in-depth understanding of key drivers
  • Prepare concise ad-hoc presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team to provide critical insights on the strategic initiatives
  • Involved in monthly and quarterly accrual meetings to ensure forecasted spend is accurate
  • Prepare weekly cashflow spending reports and actively involved in the PO process

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA
  • 12years of experience with a primary focus on Financial Planning and Analysis in the last 5 years
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills required
  • Proven financial modeling and database skills, advance Microsoft office skills and strong attention to detail with intensity around producing high quality products and meeting deadlines
  • Must have strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
