Therapeutic Area: Gene therapy for broad range of diseases
Job Overview: Looking for a talented Scientist/Sr. Scientist with CRISPR, non-viral and/or viral gene delivery, and mammalian cell culture techniques.
Responsibilities:
Research and optimize programmable gene insertion tools to modify different primary cell types
Develop assays to measure efficacy, cellular response, and toxicity of novel delivery systems
Collaborate with internal and external research teams, academic collaborators, and CROs to advance our understanding on programmable gene insertion
Prepare technical presentations, data summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses
Maintain thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks and documentation records
Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior reports
Qualifications:
MS + 5 years or PhD + 1 year experience in cell biology, molecular biology or related fields
Prior experience with CRISPR or other gene editing tools
Prior experience in non-viral or viral gene delivery
Proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques, flow cytometry, ddPCR, ELISA, qPCR, DNA and RNA extraction, transfection, electroporation, and western blotting
Hands-on experience in assays for liver biology
Must be able to prioritize and manage a high volume, demanding, fast-paced environment
Must be organized, self-motivated, proactive, works well under pressure and deadlines, detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to interact with internal and external contacts at all levels of management including Executives and Senior Management
