As an Awake Overnight Child Care Worker you will promote a physically safe and emotionally healthy environment while supervising students during evening residential activities and overnight sleeping hours. Latham provides a paid two-week Orientation program for all new employees upon hire. A High School diploma or GED is required. While the ideal candidate for this position has a High School degree or GED and one year human service experience, candidates with a high school diploma/ GED and are new to the human services field are encouraged to apply! He or she must have the ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
