Per Diem Clinician (Southeast Emergency Service Program Cape Cod/Islands, Hyannis)

Schedule: Per Diem

Salary: $25.00/hour with license, $23.50/hour without license

Responsibilities:

Bay Cove Human Services, Inc., a leading Massachusetts human services organization seeks an Mobile/Emergency Services Clinician Per Diem to join us in our mission to provide high-quality services to adults who face the life-long challenges of developmental disabilities, mental illness and drug and alcohol dependency.The Mobile/Emergency Services Clinician Per Diem is mission driven, with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills who will work with our Southeast Emergency Services Team.The Mobile/Emergency Services Clinician-Per Diem will assess and coordinate stabilization services for adults and children who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency.Services will be delivered at the Urgent Care Center as well as where the client is at.We are looking for someone who strives to:

Deliver Services - The Mobile/Emergency Services Clinician assesses each person’s needs on-site for services and develops a treatment plan that best ensures safety and effective resolution of the crisis.These assessments could be on-site at the person’s home, school or agency.Work with a Collaborative Spirit - Work with community based health, behavioral health and social services that can deliver urgently needed services to the client.Facilitate the person’s admission to acute treatment services as needed.Ensure a Safe Environment - Effectively work with clients their family members, police, community partners, and the Emergency Services Team in a professional, hopeful, and respectful manner to ensure the client’s safety.Teach, Coach and Train - Provides guidance and oversees staff, students and support/peer personnel.

Qualifications:

What you will need to bring:

Clinical Licensure - Master’s level clinician,

Track Record - At least three years experience working in a mental health setting; demonstrated experience observing people in crisis, noting symptoms and nonverbal behaviors.Licensure - Current MA Driver’s License and use of reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel.Communication skills - Demonstrated experience with related administrative functions.Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills - Demonstrated experience in handling difficult situations so they become more positive and productive.Keywords: healthcare, human services, mental health, psychiatric disabilities, substance abuse, addiction, therapy, recovery, culturally diverse population, crisis intervention, LICSW, LPHA, managed care, treatment supports, supervisory, supervision, social services, treatment plans, assessments, Cape Cod, Hyannis, mobile
