Description
Our client in the banking industry is looking for a Cloudera Consultant to work on their Next Gen Data Program. The Next Gen Data Program will evolve the Data Lake environment that would open up numerous opportunities for strategic growth by enabling efficient access to bank-wide data delivering faster analytical insights reducing the time to market. Project will leverage new technology to connect users to data without having to do major data movement and transformations using a more Agile-like methodology. Resources role is to collaborate in the implementation management administration configuration tuning and maintenance of the overall Cloudera infrastructure.
Requirements
Must-have skills required of the role
o Experience with installing upgrading configuring and tuning Cloudera Manager for cluster management.
o Be able to analyze and plan the cluster deciding configurations and needs based on the estimated amount of data the cluster is going to serve.
o Extensive hand-on experience on application support and troubleshooting application errors identifying root cause and ensuring that they do not occur again.
o Experience defining implementing and monitoring KPIs that ensure cluster health and performance.
o Experience working with these technologies/languages: Cloudera Hadoop Spark Scala Python Kafka NiFi Linux Java SQL DB2
o Experience with setting up and configuring YARN queues to improve cluster resources distribution and management.
o Experience working with and setting up kerberized environments.
o Self-motivated and action oriented.
o Strong organizational and documented skills.
Nice-to-have skills:
o Analytical capabilities to support Business to improve their processes.
o Knowledge on backup and recovery procedures and operations on a Big Data Cluster.
o Willingness to collaborate with the other teams infrastructure network application and data science to guarantee high data quality and availability.
o Cloudera Hadoop Administration Certification.
o Experience working with Cloudera Manager versions 6.x and 7.x
