To strengthen our team, we are looking for a

Senior Embedded Software Engineer for the Hardware Platform Solutions Team in the Cell Analysis Division of Agilent.

As a member of the Agilent Team, you'll be part of a team that designs, prototypes, and releases new instrument products in Agilent's Cell Analysis Division. Most projects include a cross-functional team of electrical, firmware, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as applications engineers and biologists, to create a complete system. As part of those projects, you'll also work with our project managers, product managers, manufacturing, and service organizations to transform designs into shipping products. You will also work on defining the embedded software/firmware architecture for our current product line and next generation instrument designs aligned with LSAG digital lab strategy in coordination with broader enterprise software and instrumentation roadmaps and initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop embedded software and firmware in a cross-platform development environment for controlling analytical instrumentation, using high-speed communication channels, real time data acquisition, and digital/analog I/O's.
  • Follow the full design life cycle process including participation in requirements specification, design activities, planning, code reviews and creating corresponding documentation.
  • Establish and implement verification plans against units, subsystems, and systems in simulated, emulated and laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate and be part of a multi-functional development team.
  • Support manufacturing and product teams with projects that address issues that arise in production.
