The Senior RF Design Engineer is responsible for antenna design for radar sensing products within quality, time, and cost restraints. Position requires advanced experience in systems design.
Lead development of antennas including feeding structures, power splitters and filters
Conduct geometry based analytical considerations and simulations to optimize structure
Evaluate the effects of PCB tolerances, radomes and fascias using electromagnetic simulation
Track product documentation including development plans, design documentation, test plans, and user documentation and file patents when appropriate
Participate in technical conferences and mentor and train junior engineers
Provide support for existing products in production as needed
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
What you'll bring:
BSEE + minimum 10 years' RF product design and development experience required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrodynamic field calculation
Proven Knowledge of Eigenmodes of common types of waveguides and resonant cavities
Demonstrated knowledge of Mode Matching Methods for higher order mode waveguides
Knowledge of Phased Array and Substrate Antennas
Knowledge of the commercially available numerical simulation codes HFSS, ADS, XFTD
Hands on experience evaluating the feasibility of antenna structures
Exposure to PCB fabrication process as well as end item factory assembly and test process.
Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
