As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, for Optum's End User Technology Services team, you will work on our Unified Communications products as well as related projects from additional development teams. You will be involved in developing and implementing efficient and effective test plans for new systems problems and/or enhancements. #DICE

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform reviews of automation code
  • Mentor team on testing automation
  • Lead automated testing direction
  • Serve as a DevOps liaison for automated Unit Testing, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
  • Constantly evaluate and enhance the test automation strategy and approach
  • Serve as proactive voice of QA in discussions with development, business analysis, systems analysis, and user acceptance testing
  • Work on a multi-national team working concurrently on several projects, each with specific delivery targets that may differ from project to project
  • Partner with business resources, systems analyst, designers and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and ensures that quality assurance processes and timelines are incorporated
  • Identify resource needs, effectively plan, define test Strategy, provide QA estimate, provide test management and test reporting throughout the Testing cycle
  • Participate in product strategy, product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
  • Review Test Strategies and Test plans, monitor test execution and defects in Rally, Quality Center and/or RTC
  • Perform defect management activities which include problem and issue research, analysis and documentation, working with other cross-functional team members towards issue resolution and closure

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in automation tools, scripting languages - Selenium, scripting languages- Java/C#
  • 7+ years test case writing, test case execution, defect reporting and test strategy writing
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools Jenkins/Azure DevOps, source control tools such as Git/Azure DevOps
  • 3+ years of experience in unit testing frameworks like Junit/TestNG/XUnit/Nunit and API testing (Rest/Soap), testing methodologies-Agile Methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • 3+ years of knowledge of SQL and performance tools (Jmeter), VM maintenance and report writing tools, remote connection methods, including VPN, Remote Desktop, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience testing web-based applications, Citrix applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Sound Knowledge on SQL
  • Understanding of network architecture and basic elements
  • Familiarity with Unified Communications experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
