Growing technology engineering firm is looking for a CADD Drafter to support its AV and Architectural Engineering departments. Ideal candidates possess an understanding of AV technology and system integration, as the ability to work with base building architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings and specification.
CADD Drafters assist with project administration, supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers in producing design drawing and documentation for integrated AV systems. This includes working with budgets; transforming sketches into formal drawings; interacting with project architects, engineers, client representatives; and ensuring quality of service and client satisfaction. Candidates should be professional, articulate and technically adept and dependable self-starters, with interests and ambitions in the commercial AV industry.
Specific Duties Include (but not limited to):
⢠Create and modify AV system and base building drawings using CAD software based upon direction and/or sketches and supplied files from engineering personnel
⢠Contribute design modifications and edit drawing files per markups or engineer direction
⢠Produce drawings using resident CAD program and output devices (printers, plotters)
⢠Assist with file maintenance, job document management, backup and storage
⢠Coordinate with Engineering Manager and Project Managers on design/drafting needs
Qualifications and Work Requirements
⢠Associated degree in drafting and design technology preferred
⢠1-3 years experience in CAD drafting and engineering of AV/video integrated systems
⢠Knowledge of engineering and architectural fundamentals
⢠Proficiency with AutoCad, REVIT and plus; proficient with MS Office Suite
⢠Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
⢠Excellent organizational, file management skills and attention to detail a must
⢠Ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously
