We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer with a diverse set of skills and interest to help in multiple areas. This person will be helping in design, diagnostics, coding and more. If you have a solid foundation in some of these areas, we are willing to teach you the rest. The ideal candidate has a desire to always learn more and step outside their comfort zone. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get away from the daily repetition and have a hand in all aspects of the engineering process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take an active role in all aspects of the product engineering process, including but not limited to: component and system level design and testing, final assembly, quality control and validation, and communicating with off-site assemblers
- Schematic design, PCB layout, board bring-up and validation
- Hand soldering and general diagnostics
- Microcontroller firmware development using "C" and assembly
- Windows desktop application, and service development using visual studio with C++ and C#
Technical Requirements
- Education - Bachelor / Master's in electrical engineering preferred
- Experience - At least 2-5 years' experience in either digital or analog hardware design, high speed digital design or microprocessor system design
- Circuit Board Design - Altium software or similar product experience
- Diagnostics - Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzers, or Bus Analyzer a plus
- Coding - 32-bit processors by TI, Renesas, Nordic, and Cypress
- Windows Application Development - Visual Studio in C++ or C# using MFC
- Familiarity with common buses such as I2C, SPI, UART and SMBUS
- BIOS Development experience is a plus
- Troubleshooting electronic devices
- Solidworks knowledge a plus
- Hand solder skills a plus
Other Requirements
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced small-business work environment
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills is a must
