Machine OperatorJob Description:· This position will have extensive training, check-ins with your production manager to go over manufacturing checklists, and exposure to the engineering team to ensure your success.Daily duties will include:· Working off of work orders, learning processes of each individual customer, and ensuring KPIs are met.· Using micrometers and calipers to ensure the product meets quality needs.· Performing minor PM work on machinery including oiling of machines.· Utilizing a computer to track raw material usage.· Inspecting pieces for defective materials, and any unusual conditions.Hard Skills:· Frequent mobility and ability to pick up to 50lb.Knowledge of mathematics including using decimals, fractions, and measuring.· Comfortable with operating multiple machines at one time.· Experience in manufacturing or a mechanically inclined position is preferred.· Comfortable with using a computer.Schedule:Sunday-Thursday11:00pm-7:00amPay:$21.58/h.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder. Visually examine and inspect wire/cables as they are pulled through the machine to detect sparking (defects). Identify areas of defective insulation, cut out defective piece Use micrometer to check conductor for proper size, check appearance of insulation and centering of copper wire in the insulation; tag reel in accordance with specifications, direct to next operation. Detect and report any unusual conditions, defective materials or other malfunctions Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and proper condition. Observe safety regulations. Ability & willingness to cross-train on other machines throughout the plant. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Able to pass a drug screen & background check Able to lift up to 40lbs MUST have reliable transportation Previous manufacturing experience is not required, but is a plus Job Location: Turners Falls, MA
