Responsibilities of this RoleProving instructional leadership by coaching and developing teachers (Lead Teachers and/or Teaching Fellows) through observation, modeling, analyzing data, and co-teaching
Supporting teachers with classroom management and discipline
Planning and leading professional development
Developing content and managing logistics for school-wide assessments
Collecting and analyzing student achievement data and using data to drive recommendations for instruction
Formally supervising teachers (including performance evaluations)
Developing and enforcing systems of accountability for staff
Assisting the School Leader in teacher recruitment, hiring, and termination
Serving as a liaison for parent concerns and communication
Acting on behalf of the School Leader and School on school-wide issues
Working closely with the School Leader on day-to-day school-wide issues and representing a united school leadership team
Reporting directly to the School Leader

A belief in the mission and values of KIPP
Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels in educationally underserved communities (preferred)
At least two years of teaching experience (strongly preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree required
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
