Job Description

In this role you will drive integrated strategic customer and market insights for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Business Unite across BIR.Be an integrated CMI Business Partner to key business functions within MS, as well as Global and affiliates. Drive strong decision support, based on strategic analysis, market research, forecasting, business execution insight, performance outcomes and competitive intelligence. Drive short- and long-term forecasting processes

Drive BIR CMI Processes

· Be strong CMI Business Partner to key business functions, ensuring solid understanding of the business development and driving that decisions are based on facts and insights

· Drive and lead BIR (Biogen Intercontinental Region)CMI strategic insight processes

· Develop and ensure key performance indicators are in place for brands and execution initiatives to ensure learnings loops and insights gathering

· Develop guidance and foster best practices sharing to drive strong CMI processes and initiatives across BIR region, affiliate and Global

Drive developing the process of onboarding new BIR CMI members across region and co-leads, with the Head of BIR CMI, and the development of team talent

Strategic Forecasting and Analytics

· Responsible for developing and driving the strategic long-range plan (LRP) for the Region and select Local countries and in close collaboration with Global, including presenting recommendations to Senior Leadership, proactively developing business case scenarios, ensuring alignment on core assumptions based on insights.

· Proactively sets the direction, drives and strengthens the forecasting process across the region, applying efficient methodologies using latest technology to drive robust and aligned forecasts

· Drives the innovation advancement of the analytical expertise to support decision making, conducting critical analyses by integrating multiple data sources to provide an objective viewpoint

· Being a close CMI Business Partner to management within brands/TA in facilitating thorough understanding of key business issues and opportunities and facilitating decisions being made based on insights, follow-up on impact

· Leads Business Reviews, Annual Operating Planning, Forecasts, support the Integrated Customer Planning Process together with Marketing

· Prepare briefing book ahead of Country Business reviews to ensure that Leadership are briefed on critical information and insights. Identifies and Raises key issues to be focused on during the Business Reviews

Market Research & Competitive Insight

· Plan and execute strategic market research in close collaboration with Local and Global business partners

· Identify Insight gaps/needs for MS in BIR and design & deliver research to address

Provide rigorous assessment and diagnosis of brand and market performance, presenting insights and recommendations

Project Execution

Executes projects as Project Manager with key stakeholders. Can be both CMI improvement projects, Business improvement Projects (ie Customer Journey projects) or functional development projects with stakeholders in Medical, Multichannel excellence, Marketing, FFE or others

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience within a life sciences company or consulting firm supporting the healthcare industry with specific focus on driving insights driven decision making
  • Experience within Neurology and Rare disease is a strong advantage
  • Experience with product launches in the BIR region, particularly in support of building new markets, is a strong advantage
  • Expertise in managing people directly or indirectly through complex projects or matrix organizations
  • Has a broad understanding of BIR regional pharmaceutical data, including market research data/vendors, and which source to leverage in order to answer business questions most effectively
  • Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure and innovative delivery.
  • Highly collaborative – must be able to navigate and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders and take guidance and direction from CMI peers and Senior Leadership
  • Strong communication skills, particularly executive presentation skills.
