Job Description

As a Robotics Test Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the development of our next generation of mobile robots that manipulate inventory in warehouses. The qualified candidate will be designing and running test suites that validate all capabilities of a complex robotic system. We are looking for people who thrive in a creative, collaborative and agile development environment.

• Design and implement test frameworks for a material handling mobile robot. This will involve dynamic simulation in addition to development of test software to control real hardware.
• Support system testing of systems and subsystems
• System level debug of hardware/software components for mobile robot platform
• Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing as needed
• Work in a dynamic Agile/Scrum based environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
• Experience developing and executing test plans for software solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software systems via scripting (Pearl, Python), and data log parsing and analysis (GREP, regex)
• Experience programming in C or C or C#.
• A hands-on problem solver who can clearly communicate results.
• Ability to dive deep into data to understand issues that need to be addressed.
• Experience with motion control equipment, material handling systems, or robotics
• Experience with simulation environments desirable
