30-hour minimum work week, covering for morning shift as well if your coworker has an appointment and vice versa.

We are looking for someone who would like a steady, long-term job working Monday-Friday 1:30pm - 7pm and Saturdays 1:00pm-5pm starting at $12/hr. You will receive an increase after six months as learning how the job works 100% will take six months.

even with prior work experience, our business is run extremely differently and should not be compared to glassdoor salaries due to this cashier position having MUCH less work than an average dry cleaners' cashier/customer service position

We are a family-run dry-cleaning business. This is different from a laundromat, please do not confuse the two.

My parents are getting older and need an honest, hard-working employee with a genuine interest in helping.

What is expected:

- Comfortable working on your feet the whole time

- Able to lift up to 25 pounds (winter clothing dry cleaning in bulk can be heavy)

- Have great customer service skills

- Experience in dry cleaning, not laundromats, is preferred but not necessary

- Working by yourself, cleaning the store thoroughly(it's not that big)

- Alternating/covering your co-worker's schedule when he/she cannot work that day and vice versa.

What you should know about the owners and our expectations:

My parents drive up from Connecticut every single day to deliver clothes from our main plant.

My mom is tough and doesn't expect repetitive mistakes, she'll train you the best she can.

- You will ALWAYS be learning something new about dry cleaning. Each customer has slightly different clothes and they cannot be treated the same.

- We have high customer service standards that must be met.

- They're tough, but they will treat you extremely well as long as you are trying and not making the same mistakes over and over again.

- Please put yourself in the customer's shoes as well as think about each situation from a manager's perspective in difficult situations you may find yourself in.

- Customers have extreme attachments to their clothes, please put yourself in the customer's position when thinking about how you would like your clothes to be treated by the dry cleaning cashier and behave respectfully accordingly.

- You should never have "nothing to do". There is ALWAYS something to do. Please take the initiative when working. This is key!

- We are looking for a long-term employee with CONSISTENT and RELIABLE transportation, especially during winter months.

If you work the afternoon/evening shift, you cannot close up before 7:00pm
