Springfield, Massachusetts metal finishing company has 1st and 2nd shift positions available for entry level plating operators. Qualified candidates must have excellent punctuality and attendance and must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
This is a safety sensitive position handling critical aerospace parts.
Full time position - Extended hours may be required based on production needs. Entry level pay rate starts at $16.00/hour. Training will be done on 1st shift. 2nd Shift employees will receive 1.50/hour shift differential once training is complete and employee transfers to 2nd shift. Employees will be placed through a staffing agency for 30 days minimum.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to work well with others and independently
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to read, write and understand English
Must have good math skills and the ability to calculate figures
Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
Responsibilities and Duties
Completion of daily checklist
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Performs all tasks in a manner consistent with company regulations
Performs all other duties and functions as assigned
