This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing financial firm, located in Northampton. We are a four-person team looking to hire an additional part-time employee to support the firm as needed. We anticipate that we will need this person to work initially between 15 and 20 hours a week, with an opportunity to be full-time in the future (if desired). We are looking for someone who can commit to working 3-5 hour shifts, 3 or 5 days a week, with consistency. We are flexible with respect to days and times and are willing to work with family and school schedules.

The position we have open right now is for a candidate who likes to be busy and challenged in their position and looking to grow professionally. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and professional duties and may have had experience in law, accounting or financial services. This person must be well organized, have strong communication skills, be focused on accuracy (able to proof own work), accountable, enjoys taking on new tasks and as well as essential regular daily tasks. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

The new team member is responsible for:

• Communicating with clients, setting up accounts, maintaining flies and completing documents

• Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, and following through on issues

• Preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations

• Working with, and maintaining, our contact management software (RedTail)

• Managing electronic calendars as well as setting and confirming appointments

• Making meeting arrangements and coordinate client events

• Providing back up support to all staff when needed

Skills/Qualifications:

• Intelligence, commonsense and integrity

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office

• Experience working in a financial planning, accounting or law firm

• Professional in speech and appearance

• Clean legal record (you will be fingerprinted and undergo a mandatory background check if a position is offered)

• Bachelor’s degree, or higher, preferred.
