Full-time service technician
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Must be non-smoking.
A+ Certification or equivalent preferred.
Some experience preferred.
Small Wilbraham based computer shop is looking for a service technician. Applicants must have a strong Windows background.
Minimum requirements for this position include the ability to:
⢠Expertly navigate the Windows OS
⢠Install/uninstall various software systems
⢠Follow written and spoken direction
⢠Multitask (work on several different machines at once)
⢠Manage your time well
⢠Take the lead on projects and/or direct others but also be a team player
⢠Politely discuss evaluation of machines with clients/customers in person or via phone/email
⢠Support customers/clients in person or by remote access of machines
⢠Perform setup and configuration of desktop/laptop equipment
⢠Troubleshoot virus and software issues
⢠Manage installs, moves, adds and changes of desktop/laptop hardware, software & cabling
⢠Troubleshoot, resolve, and document end user help requests for desktop, laptop, and peripheral problems via the company's service order software
⢠Document processes and procedures
⢠Ensure the timely resolution of service orders and customer requests.
Helpful additional skills for this position include:
⢠A+ / Net+ Certification or equivalent.
⢠Being quick to learn
⢠Attention to detail
⢠Any background knowledge of Macs/Apple is a plus.
