Bookkeeper

This position is a role within a high-end residential Architecture & Construction firm and will assist our Controller with maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; and ensure legal requirements are compliant. This is an entry level, Part-Time position with the potential for Full Time hours dependent on the candidate.

This position reports directly to the Controller.

What you will do here?

Balance and maintain accurate ledgers

Inputting payables/managing receivables

Match purchase orders with invoices

Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management

Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes

Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts

Obtain necessary tax forms from new vendors

Maintain the annual budget and chart of accounts

Perform reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy

Process company payroll

Provide administrative support to management when required

Generate 1099s and W2's

Assist with tax preparations and financial audits

Generate misc. reports for Controller and President

Youll be great if you:

Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and data entry.

Experience with accounting software.

Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.

Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator.

Strong time manager with respect for deadlines.

Ability to identify errors and solve problems.

Decisive and critical thinker.

Approachable, professional, customer service oriented with strong communication skills and attention to detail

Are flexible and adaptable regarding changes in process and procedures

Are able to communicate with the team, vendors and management clearly and effectively

Has excellent technology skills; proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) QuickBooks

Have a minimum of an associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or relevant field.
