A caregiving/PCA position is available in Charlton to care for a well mannered young autistic man.
We are looking for someone with maternal traits who can join a team tasked with drawing this young man out of his world of imagination. The right person will be:
- Sweet but firm.
- Joyful and kind
- Available weekday mornings for 25 plus hours a week. (more available)
- Willing to learn.
- Able to communicate clearly.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Consistent.
- Respectful.
- Able to accept feedback.
- Able to use tablets and smart phones.
Training for Responsibilities may include:
- Light housework.
- Food Prep.
- Summarize shift events.
- Local trips (Maybe).
- Brainstorm for ideas that may help.
This is a pretty sweet set up in a beautiful location with a lot of support. The job is in a home setting with the principal caregiver working close by. The client is a beautiful innocent soul with an active imagination who want's to succeed, but is struggling with OCD. You don't have to understand how to help, we will teach you.
You will need to pass a CORI check.
