Immediate Start
I'm a 57-year-old male happy-go-lucky quadriplegic
I really, REALLY need someone who understands the meaning of essential personnel. If you don't come I'm stuck in bed which is a huge grrrrrr to me.
I put my picture so you can see who you'd be working with (be nice, I'm breakable :-) ). Apologies, I don't take many pictures and can't seem to find any without the ray bans :-( trust me, I'm not a cyclops
You'll usually be out by 10am and sometimes earlier but you'll be paid as if you're here till 10:30 or 17 hours per week. I encourage speediness but in a relaxed setting. If you get out early that's great for you and I get my day going :-)
You must be dependable and reliable This is THE most important part.
Transfers are done with a ceiling track system and an electric hoist similar to a hoyer (no lifting).
Time:
Monday through Friday mornings 7am 10:30am
Description:
Give me morning medications (no narcotics)
Range of motion (not that it does anything more so I can say I do it)
Dress me in bed (I'm 6' but weigh 135lbs so it's really easy)
Transfer me to my wheelchair (an international flight in my ceiling lift and if I'm awake I flap my wings)
Wash my hair (for as long as I have it)
Feed me breakfast (a nutriblast and a protein drink healthy is happy yes?)
Oral hygiene (you only have one set of teeth)
Setup for the day (I'm an electrical engineer who works from home so this is easy)
Once a week grocery store trip (No, I don't ride in the carriage)
Experience is not necessary. Some of my best aids have been people with NO experience I have a sense of humor, a lot of patience and am easy to get along with.
