Position Title: Cabinet Maker / Assembler
Department: Manufacturing
Direct Supervisor: Plant Manager
Status:
Exempt Nonexempt X Full Time X Part Time
Position Summary:
Cabinet maker is primarily responsible to fabricate and assemble commercial casework. This is a trained position. Prior experience in use of hand tools and a mechanical ability are required.
Responsibilities:
Able to fabricate casework from shop drawings
Able to produce cut lists and materials takeoffs from shop drawings
Plastic laminate work including spraying, laying up, router use and hand filing.
Wood working skills including the use of hand and power tools
Operate Case clamp, Dowel machine, edge bander, BHX -Vertical CNC, nail guns, sanders and other hand tools to assemble case work. Operate all other shop equipment as needed for production
Help assemble from pre-cut components Bases cabinets and Upper cabinets used in commercial construction
Prepping cabinetry for finish
Load truck for deliveries as needed
Assist all other cabinet makers as needed
Help clean daily to maintain a safe work environment.
Other misc. tasks as needed
Essential Job Function:
Able to lift products ranging for 15 to 100 lbs.
Able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time.
Able to work in a woodwork shop environment as required.
Qualification:
Must have strong work ethic and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
The ability to organize, prioritize and work independently and with a team.
Applicant should be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment. Able to follow direction and procedures well. Applicant must have strong mechanical ability and own basic hand tools. Competitive salary, and benefits package is available. Preferred 5 to 10 years’ experience in cabinet making.
