J&J Machine has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Inspector. The position involves first article inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, AQL inspections and FAI report generation in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a machining background and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with ISO is required, and experience with 13485 and/or AS9100 is a plus.

Requirements for the position include:
Five years of experience in a similar role
Ability to inspect complex and precise mechanical parts using a variety of tools and methods
Understanding of machining processes required
Ability to use a CMM, height gauge, optical comparator, hand tools, pins, bore gauges, thread gauges and other metrology tools
Understanding of GD&T, metric conversion as well as solid math skills
Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to interpret drawings
Understanding of tolerance stack up and the impacts of plating
Ability to communicate with machinists and management
Able to vary hours to meet the needs of our customers
