We are looking for an entry level technician to support our operations in New England. The optimum candidate will have experience in the media industry working with access centers, schools and governmental agencies, and will have a strong technical background, sound judgement and computer proficiency, in particular with drafting tools. This is not a requirement as we will train you, but one must be comfortable with these levels of technical training. You will need to be able to read technical drawings and understand media equipment. Experience in the public access sector is a definite plus. Being a self-starter and able to work independently is a requirement. This is a part time position and the hours vary from week to week with an average of about 20-30 hours per week, sometimes more. This is an immediate opening.
Duties of the Technician: Supporting members of the engineering staff, specifically with on-site and remote assistance. Building cables, installing equipment and being able to handle specific instruction is a requirement. Must be able to climb ladders and lift up to fifty pounds. This position involves local travel and will interface directly with the engineering department and senior management.
