We are an established national agency seeking tech savvy, professional staff for a temporary project collecting passenger data on Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority buses for a regional transit rider study.
This is a temporary project that will run through the end of May.
JOB TITLE: Surveyor
JOB DESCRIPTION: Staff will ride on board buses and conduct intercept surveys to collect ridership data from passengers. The survey includes mapping the customers current trip using a GPS mapping interface, followed by a series of questions about the riders transit use and demographic questions. Data is collected using handheld tablet devices. Staff must have experience using tablets and smart phones to be considered for this project. The data collected from passengers will be used to improve transit in the Ann Arbor region and help improve overall transportation by using the collected data in planning and forecasting.
TRAINING SCHEDULE:
AM Shift Training - Monday, March 25th - 8:00am-12:00pm
PM Shift Training - Monday, March 25th - 1:00pm-5:00pm
ONGOING SCHEDULE:
Monday-Thursday (excluding holidays).
AM Shifts - approximately 6:00am-2:00pm
PM Shifts - approximately 1:00pm-10:00pm

LOCATION: All shifts originate from the Blake Transit Center. AM shift staff MUST be able to arrive to the transit center before 6am.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be polished and professional in appearance and demeanor.
Must be capable of standing on a moving vehicle for long periods.
Must have experience using technology (such as smart phones and tablets).
Must have a good grasp of basic math skills.
Must be able to interpret location using GPS devices.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Must be courteous to passengers and colleagues.
Must be capable of approaching and interacting with strangers.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
PAYMENT: $15.00 per hour. We pay weekly via direct deposit or pay card.
