Looking for a graduate level student-preferably current psychology major or social work background to be a mentor/life coach for a current U of Michigan undergraduate student who has Asperger's / Autism spectrum. Very high functioning student but needs support engaging socially with peers. Very outgoing but socially awkward and difficulty sustaining meaningful friendships. Flexible with start time but spring/summer semester preferable. Continue through the 2019-2020 school year if possible. Life coach/mentor position would be approximately 10 hours per week. $20 per hour. Meet 3-4 times a week to engage in social discussions and download/problem solve with any types of anxiety or social concerns arising during the week. Preferably some meetings would be over a meal or coffee. Spend at least one weekend evening out engaging in a social activity. Must like dogs. Student is over 21 and a sports fan. Bars and sporting events are welcome. All expenses paid.
