Vacancy expired!

Please note that due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will not be conducting any in person visits at this point, but initial remote screening processes are still active.

Have you or someone close to you experienced a traumatic event? (examples include events that involved risk of death, serious injury, or sexual violence)

Are you stressed, having trouble sleeping, or feel like you’re always “on guard” as a result?

U-M researchers are seeking adults, 18-60 years old, who have experienced a traumatic event, to participate in a study testing the effect of a wearable light treatment on these symptoms.

The study takes 5 weeks and involves:

- Wearing a wrist monitor (like a fitbit) for 5 weeks

- Weekly visits to our lab in the Rachel Upjohn Building (free parking) to complete interviews

- 3 fMRI scans

- 4 weeks where you will do the light treatment for up to 1 hour each morning at home

No drugs involved, no blood draws.

Participants will be compensated up to $1090 upon completion of study tasks.
