Job Description
We are taking applications and conducting interviews for the current season at Walnut Creek Country Club. We are a newly remodeled private club in South Lyon looking to hire friendly, upbeat, reliable staff to join our team. Positions include line cooks for casual dining, and banquets. Health, dental, and vision benefits available for full time employees.
We are looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills, enjoy people, along with being self-motivated with a drive to strive to exceed expectations. Experience is a plus, but is not necessary. Must have professional appearance and attitude, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality. Candidates must be available to work, a combination of weekends, evenings and some holidays.
Position starts immediately.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requisitions and preps menu items according to specs.
Preps items needed for specials.
Makes chef/ sous chef and wait staff aware of 86 items.
Complies with state and federal health and safety regulations.
Executes menu items according to specs during service.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Minimum of six months to a year in line cook experience preferred
Requires knowledge of food production, storage/handling techniques, and commercial use culinary equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires ability to lift 20-50 pounds frequently; up to 100 pounds infrequently
Requires full mobility for entire duration of shift
Varying environmentally controlled temperatures from kitchen area and coolers.
