Camp Bow Wow, America's Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp provides a fun, safe, and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp, and receive lots of love and attention. We are seeking friendly, energetic, enthusiastic people for Camp Counselors at the Ann Arbor location.
Job description:
Experience with and a genuine love for dogs is required.
Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and be attentive, able to adapt, eager to learn, and follow established practices and procedures at camp.
This is a fun, challenging, but physically demanding job. Applicants must be 18 years or older, able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and able to bend to a 4-foot height.
Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising dogs in indoor/outdoor play areas, extensive and ongoing cleaning of camp equipment and cabins, preparing and serving food and treats, administering medications (no injections), brushing/bathing/drying dogs, and nail trimming. Camp counselors are also responsible for assisting customers both in person and by phone at our front desk. Computer literacy is required for entering camper information, scheduling appointments, and accepting payments.
Employees must pass animal First Aid and CPR class within 60 days of hire.
Camp Bow Wow is open 365 days a year! Counselors MUST be available and willing to work weekends and holidays. Business hours are Mon-Sat 7:00am-7:00pm; Sundays and holidays 7:00am-10:00am and then 4:00pm-7:00pm. Reliable transportation is a must for this position.
