Powertrain Engineer

Contract

Experience and Qualification:

• Analyze engineering data to support electrified powertrain research and development. Data may originate from a variety of sources: vehicle testing, published certification results, specification books / manuals, surveys.
• The main activities are:
• Data organization (sorting, filtering)
• Data analysis (statistics, calculation of indexes)
• Graphical representation (bar charts, time series, contour plots, …)
• Consulting with other engineers and agreement on results / conclusions
• Creation of summary reports
• Presentation to other engineers / managers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (mechanical engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with automotive industry (min. 1 year)
• Presentation skills (PowerPoint)
• Database management (Excel, PowerBI)
• Proficiency in manipulating and plotting data with MS Excel
• Experience creating engineering data analysis programs (preferably in MATLAB, Python, VBA)
• Summarizing test results in a report (MS PowerPoint / Word) Experience with vehicle or powertrain data is preferred
• Ability to work independently, consulting with supervisor / team lead on a regular basis
• Programming skills (Python)
