Stefanini Group is hiring for Vehicle Systems Embedded Architect for our automotive client in Michigan!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate and coordinate with functional leads and architects across the vehicle and cloud to breakdown connected features into functional components and distribute them across in vehicle componentsLead SW Architecture activities for vehicle embedded foundational components, mapping of Requirements and Systems specifications into SW architecture and designs Develops/supports 'connectivity feature roadmaps' closely working with Product Owners, Systems Architects, and feature champions across various skill teams. Provide feedback and recommendations on adoption of new technologies that support the roadmaps.Review connected feature requirements and specifications, provide feedback and work with the product owners and managers towards a set of technical specifications that capture connectivity strategy.Author Architectural requirements and develop architecture for approved connected vehicle features.Supports feasibility assessment of prioritized features in collaboration with cross functional teams and develop feature architecture recommendations for connected vehicle features along with identifying target vehicle program and region by considering technical risks and conducting cost/benefit analysis.Collaborate with R&A and Advanced Engineering teams to bring new connected vehicle concepts into production.



BS Engineering discipline in Electrical and Electronics or Computer Sciences7+ years of experience in designing, developing embedded systems with automotive background and having system wide knowledgeMasters preferred in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Preferred Skills:Knowledge of automotive HW/SW standards such as AUTOSAR is a bonus. Knowledge of communication security, channel authentication mechanisms and security protocols is required.Broad knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and deep understanding of embedded software design is required.Understanding of interoperability techniques and standards for in-vehicle embedded systems and ability to work through the constraints of various external systems is required.Broad knowledge of Vehicle Architecture, CAN Bus, diagnostics, and interoperability of embedded device messaging is required.Experience analyzing system failure points, evaluating pros and cons of solution proposalsExperience or exposure on Functional Safety (ISO26262, ASIL D)Experience with network communication protocols, transport protocols and payload optimization techniquesKnowledge of vehicle to cloud connectivity or knowledge of Internet of ThingsExperience identifying solutions, that leverage existing systems and assets, with creative solution definition methodology and focus on end to end lifecycle of the product/feature is requiredProgramming languages: C/C (C11), Assembler. (gRPC, Protobuf, Java, Python, LINUX scripts are extra)Implementation of real-time embedded system, device drivers for various embedded system, both POSIX and hard real-time bases; Android knowledge is a bonusKnowledge on Build system and software releaseWorking knowledge of the device drivers including Ethernet, serial, I2C, SPI, flash, USB; Knowledge and preferably experience with TCP/IP, NAT, FTP, DHCP, Ethernet/VLAN, HTTP, routing/firewalls.Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to navigate through working teams across multiple departments is required.Ability to work with large cross functional teams under aggressive timelines and sporadic heavy workloads and still maintain work-life balance for the team members.Ability to present technical artifacts at varying degrees of technical depth to a wide range of audience.Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
