Under general
supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs
experiments related to specific research projects and participates in
other activities appropriate for carrying out research objectives.
Reads and understands literature in the field.
Conducts actual experiments and collects and analyzes data
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors
degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology or a
closely related field to be familiar with research terminology and
scientific techniques.
Minimum of up to 6 months of laboratory
experience in a stated area of scientific specialty preferred.
Requires
the manual dexterity to operate complex equipment.
Familiarity with
statistical and research methodology is desirable.
