The Clinical Field Specialist
professionally represents Edwards Lifesciences’ Critical Care business unit by
developing clinical education materials in connection with clinical investigations.
In addition, she/he will provide clinical insights on the device, procedure,
and protocol throughout the life cycle of the clinical investigation.This is for the Detroit
territory. We are seeking someone who lives in the region.A Day in the Life of the ClinicalField Specialist:
Provideeducation on all aspects of focused and core products within the CCportfolio handling, integration and troubleshooting techniques related toCC equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical useincluding but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinatingone-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured educationprograms in the ICU, OR, and other acute care areas (e.g. emergencydepartment)
Providephysicians and medical staff with clinical instructions to ensurecontinuity of education and technical support related to all aspects ofpatient outcome throughout continuum of care while anticipating andforeseeing obstacles and planning accordingly for smooth execution
Advocatewith clinicians to uncover other opportunities to expand the use for CCfocused and core products
Identifyand train select hospital staff members to act as designated expert on EWproducts
Collaboratewith sales reps and managers to implement a strategic plan of action intheir respective territory
Validatesoftware and hardware updates in the field as applicable

Minimumof 3 years of previous (related) medical device and/or clinical experience inan acute care environment
Associate'sdegree in Nursing or related field required
Solidunderstanding of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular anatomy, pathology andphysiology relevant to critical care products
Solidwritten and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Critical Care and/or Cardiac ClinicalExperience
Licensed as a Registered Nurse
Strong understanding of hemodynamicmonitoring
Experience in a clinical or salesrole within a Medical Device company
Demonstrated proficiency presentingin front of other groups
Demonstrated leadership progressingwithin the Nursing field
Demonstrated ability to drive changewithin their hospital/organization
Solid understanding of med deviceregulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse eventsreporting
