DescriptionJob Summary:The Compressor Technical Field Advisor is responsible to drive teams of technicians on installation and maintenance of Centrifugal and Axial compressors. He is also responsible to communicate with back office engineering for any pack case or assistance. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.Essential Duties Responsibilities:bull;Geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries' skids positioning, levelling and alignment.bull;Installation and assembling activities of compressor auxiliary equipment (such as oil console, seal gas system, air console, interconnection piping, oil cooler, anti-surge system, oil flushing and blowing, etc).bull;Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, air system, seal gas system, anti-surge systembull;Work closely with Instrumentation TFA during the installation, calibration and set-up of compressor electrical instrumentation (such as vibration probes, temperature elements, I/P converters.).bull;Verify the start-up sequence; provide assistance during the start-up phase, checking all functional parameters of compressor and equipment, in order to optimize performances and efficiency of steam turbine and to respect the minimum radial clearance between rotor and stator parts.bull;Perform small mechanical repairs and carry out any machine works at the machine tools in the workshop.bull;Assembly, disassembly, check and adjust the installation and functioning clearances, evaluate the wear, or damage state of the compressor componentsbull;Check and correct alignment conditions between driver and driven unitsbull;Perform other duties as assignedbull;Travel may be requiredbull;Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignmentsRequired Qualifications Experience:bull;Technical/University degree or qualifying experience OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Field Services rolebull;Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance or power plant equipment installation/commissioningDesired Characteristics:bull;Experienced level. Has the knowledge and skill to oversee outage management within a competency and may possess expertise in a secondary competency. Demonstrates mentor and team lead skills.bull;Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens or other OEM equipment is preferredbull;Strong attitude to manage relationships with customers, concerning technical and contractual aspects.bull;Follow up all quality aspects according to six sigma approach and GE QA manual and procedures.bull;Working knowledge and application of EHS rules.bull;Effective communication to HQs, through company e-tools (VC4/NCM - e-SMS).bull;Strong organizational, project management, oral/written communication and interpersonal/leadership skillsbull;Strong business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customerAbout FieldCore:FieldCore, a GE company, is an independent, industrial field services organization focused on World-Class Execution across the power generation and oil gas industries.
