The mission of the USPTO is: “Fostering innovation, competitiveness and economic growth, domestically and abroad by delivering high quality and timely examination of patent and trademark applications, guiding domestic and international intellectual property policy, and delivering intellectual property information and education worldwide, with a highly-skilled, diverse workforce.”The Program Manager, USPTO Search Services provides support to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and leads the Search Services Team to meet the mission of the USPTO.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.Monitors daily work and notifies the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) of any problems and concerns as soon as practical. Provides program management and project management to all Contractor personnel and all Contractor functions provided for in the contract. Possesses in-depth knowledge of day-to-day operations, contract requirements and workflow processes. Responsible for all aspects of the work performed by the Contractor staff. Ensures the smooth functioning of services required under the contract; which includes, planning, executing and controlling projects as indicated in the requirements.Acts as the primary point of contact for the CO, COR, and POC and is available during normal business hours (8:00 – 5:00, Eastern Time) and responds to all government inquiries as soon as practical, but no later than 24 business hours.Chairs and/or facilitates project status meetings typically once per month, or chairs other meetings required with the COR and POCs. Tracks and reports on task progress and processes, documenting meetings, tracking action items and task assignments, etc.Ensures timely submission of all reports and report changes to the Contractor’s staff to the COR.Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor's degree and two (2) years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one (1) year experience efficiently managing similar size / type contracts and/or projects.
