Description:Large international GC customer looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to join their industrial projects Detroit operation. Sr. PM's exercise uncompromising commitment to the company's core values, and develop strong relationships with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, union officials, suppliers, etc. They are also responsible for leading, developing and assessing others, as well as promoting the culture and values with all project stakeholders.Responsibilities-Provide overall management direction for self-perform industrial projects ranging from $1 - $50 MM.-Actively manage crews of self-performing heavy industrial trades such as millwrights, ironworkers and riggers.-Manage and direct subcontractors engaged in heavy industrial and process work.-Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.-Thoroughly understand Owner’s contract requirements and initiate and manage changes accordingly.-Includes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, union officials, subcontractors, security, etc.-Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s).-Authorize/approve all project purchase requisitions, change requests, etc.-On union projects, may assist in jurisdictional disputes and negotiations as required.-Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.-Maintain official project logs and documentation files.-Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.-Provide direction to planning, scheduling, logistics, and engineering functions as required.-Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.Skills:Project management, Construction management, industrial construction, commercial construction, building construction, architectureTop Skills Details:Project management,Construction management,industrial constructionAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related program is preferred; or equivalent professional training and experience with high school diploma. Minimum of fifteen years of experience and knowledge of related building, commercial and or industrial construction experiences. Held positions of Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager for 10+ years. Must have been the lead on several projects with managed contract values of 75M+. Must have a customer service / performance focus. Strong computer skills and knowledge of industry construction methodologies and processes. Ability to communicate ideas effectively to inspire and lead the project team. Ability to troubleshoot problems on job-site and spot potential deficiencies or problems before they become major issues.
