Perfect Game is now hiring an energetic, driven, and customer experience focused individual for our assistant manager position. Applicants will possess at least 5 years experience in a management role, experience managing high volume customer service and/or food and beverage based businesses, and be hungry to learn and develop their management skills further.

Must be available to work days, nights, and weekends. Salary up to $45,000 based on experience, paid hourly.

Summary:

The Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of the bowling-focused entertainment center called PERFECT GAME (PG). While working harmoniously with and alongside the management team (the sales manager, the facility manager and the kitchen manager), the AM will be the shift leader for the following functional areas: bowling, bar, arcade games and the laser tag arena, and will be responsible for and inspire a very high standard of work performed by associates working in those areas. The AM will oversee operations and be responsible for a very high-quality guest experience by inspiring staff associates to go above and beyond. While various internal performance measures will be graded, the over-arching goal is to deliver a customer experience unmatched by any other entertainment center in the Metro Detroit area.

Performance Standards:

The AM will:

+Work closely with PGs owners to achieve the centers financial objectives, by helping to develop and execute against agreed operational and marketing plans.

+Manage the overall day to day action steps that result in excellent customer experiences. This will include scheduling, planning and organizing everything that needs to be done on a shift, ensuring that all associates are fully familiar with and complying with appropriate standards and procedures.

+Be empowered to maintain our guest experience philosophy and standards.

+Help PGs owners to hire, train and support new associates. Supervise and direct the training of all associates in all functional areas, always with the over-arching mindset of delivering a one of a kind customer experience.

+Be cost-conscious and help PGs owners to control cost-of-sales throughout the facility.

+Provide leadership by example and supervision to all associates, aiding the owners in all center operations and floor management duties, and assuming responsibility for the center in conjunction with the management team in the owners absence.

+Follow all company polices as outlined in the employee handbook and the AM Training Manual.

+Maintain a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts on time; follow company time off and illness procedures and has a zero percent no call/no show record.

+Ensure that all sanitation and safety standards are followed by associates on shift.

+Meet all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the employee handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree with a business or hospitality major is preferred; at a minimum a High School Diploma and five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Due to the importance of food within PG, the AM must maintain a current ServSafe certificate, for which any cost and time for certification will be reimbursed fully.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work in the facility maintenance area, and in the kitchen, where high levels of heat and activity can be expected and where there is frequent exposure to knives, oil, and hot surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Personal protective equipment will be provided by owners and the AM will ensure it is worn by all associates as appropriate.
