ASSISTANT MANAGER for IVY Kitchen + Cocktails
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, talented, dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal applicant should possess the following skills and experience:
Provide inspirational leadership with an emphasis on operations, food and service quality, people development, hospitality, cleanliness, and sales/profitability
Champion the guest experience while instilling a culture of guest first hospitality
Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure strict standards for cleanliness, food safety, sanitation, food presentation, preparation times, freshness, and recipe adherence are met
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and recognition procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures
Directly supervise team members
Compliance with OSHA, and state & local health and safety codes
Adhere to labor hour, wages, and liquor laws
Manage the planning and coordination of all on and off-site events ensuring staffing, preparation, performance, and breakdown are handled in an efficient and professional manner representative of the brand.
Ensure brand of the property is maintained to the highest level by continually following brand guidelines, refreshing menus seasonally, scheduling repairs to be completed in a timely manner, and ensuring the cleanliness of the property is maintained at all times.
In partnership with other department heads, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue. Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for our guests.
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.
Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules, in an organized and timely manner
Continuously develop and motivate the team to deliver legendary customer service
Solicit guest feedback to understand guest needs and create plans to address the needs
Utilize management information and tools, and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in sales, promos, voids, labor costs, food costs and operational expenses
BARTENDER
Bartender is responsible for guiding their guest's experience by providing knowledgeable service and hospitality at the highest level. As the bartender, you are expected to execute menu items as expressed on the menu, and offer creativity guided by guest's needs.
Fundamental Job Functions:
Team orientation
Treat every person who walks in the building like family
Implement suggestive selling techniques
Utilize Steps of Service for consistent and timely service
Be knowledgeable of food preparation techniques, menu items, wine, spirits, and beer
Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter in POS system
Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
Plan and present bar menu
Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Comply with all food and beverage regulationsMaintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment throughout shift
Train new staff
Educate yourself and staff on bar products
Manages the daily activities necessary for maintenance and promotion of the Pao's wine program
Perform required side duties and other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Familiar with touch screen POS systems including backend reports
Food safe certification and responsible alcohol training certification
Direct P&L management experience
Food: Serve-Safe certified; Alcohol: State and local Alcohol Service certified
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Highly energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented and dependable
Restaurant work hours up to 55 hours per week and must be able to work flexible work schedule, including opening, closing and holidays
