U.S. Lawns of Macomb is currently hiring in the following positions
Shovelers- We have many opportunities available. We have locations all over Macomb County. This position would consist of operating shovels, snow blowers and push spreaders on specific locations. When fully staffed, you would arrive and work at the same location each time. After the work is completed, the opportunity to work more hours is available. This position pays $18/hour. If you have a pickup truck and would like to be one of our mobile crews, additional pay and compensation would be provided. We currently have bonus programs in place for this position as well.
Shoveler Bonus Programs
-For every hour you work, a dollar will be banked until the end of the winter season and paid out as a bonus.
-Any new hire referral that works at least 40 hours, you will receive a $40 bonus.
Snow Equipment Mechanic- Looking for a mechanic well versed in maintaining and repairing plows, salters, snow blowers and various other equipment. This is not a full time position but rather a position that fluctuates depending on the weather. We much prefer the practice of preventative maintenance over putting out fires. There are plenty of both to be performed at this point in time. Hours would need to be flexible. This is a position that can be held as a second job but would require daily attendance currently. You must have your own tools.
Plow/Salting Truck Operators- Currently all trucks have dedicated operators, looking for relief operators. This is a good position if you can't be available 24/7. During big storms, it is always nice to provide some relief. This is also a good way to get your foot in the door. Relief operators always receive first opportunity when a position becomes available. We are planning on adding at least one additional truck to our fleet within the next few weeks.
Machine Operators/Subcontractors- We are due to pick up two additional skid/backhoe machines and will need at least one operator. The machines we use are usually newer if not brand new with well-maintained blades. If you have a machine you are looking to put to work, we have flexible payment options (hourly/seasonal). If you are an experienced operator, we still have a position available.
Snowrator Operator- This is a sidewalk machine. We have one position left. You must have good attention to detail and patients. Experience is a plus but not required.
