We are looking for a hard working, self motivated machine operator to work in our metal finishing operator. Job description below:
-Safely drive a hilo (some with special attachments) to move heavy containers around during your workflow.
-Lift sometimes heavy loads or parts into machines and other containers, often repeatedly
-Read and understand unique work instructions for each job, which include details about the equipment to be used, media type and size, chemistry selection, potential quality concerns, proper workflow, and any other information relevant to the particular job
-Complete processing documents as you work through each job. These involve various stages of inspections, records of which machine you used, length of the process, and any other information relevant to the job
-Self monitor your breaks to work within the jobs you’re running that day, as well as timing loads to be finished before the end of your shift
-Encourage and employ good teamwork skills since many areas can become crowded and some equipment is shared
-Keep up on housekeeping, meaning your work area is kept clean and tidy and the floor is mopped frequently
-Some additional job responsibilities will be added, and some of them will rotate. These jobs might include maintaining a certain area of the shop, or running the water-treatment system, or stocking the bathroom
-Help crosstrain fellow employees on processes and equipment you are familiar with
