Center of Popular Democracy has partnered with Good Jobs Now in Detroit. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a local Non-Profit organization. Good Jobs Now is launching a campaign to more than double its membership. This will help us build our power to raise the voices of everyday Detroiters in the fight for social, economic, and racial justice. Team members are on the front lines of this work, recruiting new members to make Detroit a better city for everyone who lives here.
Qualifications Include:
-Strong communication skills, work ethic, the ability to stand for long periods of time.
-Campaign jobs team members must be able to work within a team, receive feedback, and adapt to rapidly changing political and programmatic landscapes.
-Previous canvassing, sales, non profit job, or political campaign job experience is a plus, but not required
Newly hired canvassers will work closely with the Team Leaders and the Canvass Director to learn how to canvass and fine tune their skills in outreach. Daily trainings are held to constantly build the skills of outreach workers.
Pay & Benefits:
-Monday through Friday, 37 hours per week;
-Hourly rate of $15 per hour;
-Benefits available after 3 months of employment.
