DescriptionDepartment: BariatricShift: DaysDaily Work Times: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Scheduled Hours per Pay: 80Position SummaryRegisters, schedules and processes all thirdparty medical center bills and billing inquiries from payors or patientguarantor for Bariatric Institute clients and other Outpatient ClinicalServices. Informs patients of insurancebenefits, authorizations, conducting financial counseling duties, collectingco-pays and deductibles and monitoring payment from all third partypayers. Updates and monitors control ofpatient medical records. Providessecretarial support typing letters, reports, staff meeting notes and performsrelated office duties.QualificationsQualificationsRequired:
Possess 6-9 months related billing experience with knowledgeof medical terminology
Ability to type 35 wpm, operates related office equipment and possess PCskills.
Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in a courteous,tactful, and poised manner.
