Thornridge Apartments is currently seeking a Carpenter. The right candidate will be responsible for inventory of building products in an organized manner and to efficiently repair or replace building products on interior or exterior of buildings, using quality workmanship.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting oneself in a professional manner as a company representative, demonstrating sound judgment and conduct.
Ensuring the quality and quantity of work; always maintaining high standards.
Meeting service request deadlines.
Monitoring inventory of the most commonly used parts to ensure an adequate stock.
Assisting with snow/ice removal, as required.
Fabricate and replace new interior and exterior doors.
Fabricate and replace new countertops.
Repair and replace door closers.
Prepare flooring and install vinyl floors (replace or repair sub-flooring.)
Repair and replace balconies (joist, deck and rails.)
Maintain any and all equipment and tools supplied by company used to perform the job.
Must be able to operate tools required for the job and do so in a safe manner.
Must be available on an on-call basis for snow removal, which consists of shoveling and salting of walkways.
Ability to lift at least 80 pounds.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, such as climbing ladders and stairs; walking, kneeling, standing, squatting, twisting and bending for long periods of time.
Must have own tools and transportation.
Open to change and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess a dependable means of transportation and valid driver's license.
Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances, such as last minute deadlines or other difficult situations.
This position requires you to enter occupied units; therefore employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
