As a Chieftain Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, on the road, and on time. You'll perform preventative maintenance and a wide range of repairs on a variety of tractor trailer years/models. You will be expected to be well versed in the following skillsets.
Qualifications/Job Duties:
Basic mechanical ability, comfortable using tools/making repairs
A positive customer service attitude and effective communication skills
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semi-trucks and trailers to include but not limited to: Commercial Tires, HVAC, Brakes, Steering & Suspension, PM Inspections, Drive Train and Electrical, light body work
Ensuring work orders are completed properly and accurately
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Skills:
Detroit Diesel, Cummins experience
ABS brake, emission controls, and AC
Welding and Fabrication
Basic computer knowledge
Valid Driver's License required-CDL preferred (Pay incentives for CDL holders)
