Our client, the largest fully integrated brake rotor producer in the Americas, including foundry of gray and ductile iron, machining, coating, anticorrosive treatment and assembly add a multiple CNC Machine Operators to their team on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Pay will be $11.50 - $13.00/hour, based on experience.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Primary Specific Functions - The functions performed in order to fulfill the purpose of the position
Responsible for loading raw casting parts on entrance conveyors on assigned production line
Responsible to achieve production rate on quality
Responsible to check all part measurements while appropriately using assigned measuring equipment on time as required to the production parts indicated on the control plan and tooling charts
Responsible to make all the offset adjustments necessaries to control the process on the established dimensions
Responsible to change inserts according to the Tooling Charts and/or programmed tool life
Responsible for immediately informing the Production Supervisor of any failure on the production line
Responsible for unloading finished good parts from end of the line , place those parts on the appropriate dunnage according the specific packaging instruction for each part number, and place the identification label
Responsible to start up the robot after every fault and insert change
Responsible to do all of the maintenance activities described on the daily operator check list
Responsible for ensuring housekeeping functions in work area are performed, including but not limited to: ensuring no trip hazards, organization, cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping
Responsible for using all safety equipment in the manufacturing area
Participate in preventive actions where appropriate
Understand and the ability to explain company's quality policy, safety policy, procedures, work instructions and his/her position impacts customer satisfaction and contributes to fulfilling these policies
Understand how his/her role and responsibilities in achieving conformance to the Quality Management System
Be aware of all significant impacts, actual or potential, of his/her work activities and the consequences of not following specified operating procedures
Perform other related duties as deemed necessary or assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 lbs. on own
Team Player
1-2 years experience in Machine Operator
Experience with measuring gauges, such as micrometers and calipers.
