Soroc Products, a leading supplier of high-density polyethylene trays, pallets, custom thermoforming, custom plastic fabricating of corrugated rack & tote cells, and dividers is looking to hire experienced Maintenance Mechanics for its 2nd and 3rd shift operations. The positions are located at its Burton, MI location. This position is responsible for performing necessary maintenance and repairs of all mechanical and electrical components at the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ï§ Fully participate in and support the Soroc Quality System
ï§ Adhere to all Soroc policies and procedures concerning safety and personal conduct
ï§ Trouble shooting all machines when problems arise
ï§ Making the necessary repairs to all machines
ï§ Repairing any Hilos that are not working correctly
ï§ Performing general maintenance around the shop
ï§ Ordering parts for machines when needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Physical Requirements:
ï§ Should have basic reading, writing, and math skills
ï§ Should be able to stand, walk, bend, and twist for 12-hour shift
ï§ Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
ï§ Should be able to use and read a tape measure and micrometer
ï§ Basic tool knowledge; advanced skills preferred
ï§ Should have experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screen, physical exam, and background check. The rate of pay will be dependent on experience. Medical, Dental, Vision insurance are available immediately, as well as company paid holidays. Paid time off available after eligibility period.
