North Star Ranch located in Howell, MI is a privately owned and family friendly trucking company. We have an immediate opening for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic.
This position is responsible for performing service, repair and preventative maintenance on our fleet equipment to ensure that this equipment remains safe, reliable and in good working order.
We are looking for a high energy individual with outstanding mechanical, diagnostic and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications:
⢠High school Diploma or Equivalent
⢠At Least 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
⢠Must have your own tools
⢠Must a have valid Driver's license (CDL is preferred but not required)
⢠Must have good language and mathematical skills
⢠Must be able to lift moderate to heavy weight.
Experience/ Skills Required:
⢠Experienced in truck and/or large equipment repair and maintenance
⢠Preventative Maintenance
⢠Air Conditioning
⢠Brakes and Suspension
⢠Electrical
⢠Good mechanical skills including experience in diagnostics and problem-solving
⢠Knowledge of other maintenance related skills, including the ability to weld, fabricate, sandblast, paint and the use of other repair and maintenance related equipment
⢠Understanding of repair and maintenance services processes and procedures
⢠Good concept of priorities as they related to repairs
⢠Willingness to learn and share experience with others.
⢠Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
