Location: 6425 28th St SE - Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546 Job Description: Position Summary: This role is responsible for training, auditing, and support of all aspects, and operations relating to, the Scanning and Receiving Departments, along with updating, testing, and implementation of operational directives including, but not limited to these departments. Here\'s what you\'ll do: Conduct routine retail store audits of scanning, receiving and station functions to ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations; report findings to store management. Responsible to provide coaching, training, direction and support related to scanning, receiving, inventory, credit logs, transfers and computer assisted ordering (CAO) etc. to applicable retail store department associates. Assist in the training and scanning certification of scanning, receiving and station associates. Collaborate with IT department and take necessary measures to improve the operational efficiency of the store. Provide operational support to stores, stations and reset crews for planning layouts and completing store opening and resets activities. Work with the marketing department in testing, implementing and monitoring promotional and sign programs. Review and test current direct store delivery (DSD) scanning processes or other areas as requested; identify areas of improvement, suggest and implement policy changes to achieve optimal operational directives. Work with accounting and other departments as needed to ensure accuracy of vendor payments and credits. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Here\'s what you\'ll need: Associate\'s Degree (Required) Business Administration, Merchandising or related area or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Two years\' experience in retail, merchandising, or retail operations. Experience as a trainer or in a lead role preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong organization, prioritization, customer service and attention to detail skills. Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and work under minimal supervision. Strong ability to lead and train associates to provide high quality customer service. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Ability to travel up to 50%.
